Cornerstone setup
Team Skills needs data access to your CorÂnerÂstone porÂtal — either via actiÂvatÂed CorÂnerÂstone data interÂfaces and a dedÂiÂcatÂed serÂvice account, or via the talÂentÂtrends inteÂgraÂtion from the CorÂnerÂstone Edge MarÂketÂplace. The latÂter is the faster route, because authenÂtiÂcaÂtion and scope are pre-configured.
Team scope and audience
Every manÂagÂer is restrictÂed from the outÂset to their own team — direct and indiÂrect reports, nevÂer the whole organÂiÂsaÂtion. Via CorÂnerÂstone’s visÂiÂbilÂiÂty rules, you addiÂtionÂalÂly narÂrow down who may open Team Skills. And via the Data Hub conÂfigÂuÂraÂtion, you deterÂmine which columns appear at all — anyÂone who doesÂn’t want to show the preÂdictÂed proÂfiÂcienÂcy scores, for examÂple, excludes that colÂumn at repliÂcaÂtion level.
Co-determination, permitted use & estimates
In GerÂmany, the introÂducÂtion typÂiÂcalÂly trigÂgers co-deterÂmiÂnaÂtion rights for the works counÂcil. The conÂtract also stipÂuÂlates: Team Skills is a planÂning and develÂopÂment aid, not an assessÂment sysÂtem — comÂpeÂtenÂcy data must not serve as a basis for perÂsonÂnel deciÂsions, no proÂfilÂing. Where CorÂnerÂstone’s preÂdictÂed scores are shown, users must know that these are staÂtisÂtiÂcal estiÂmates, not valÂiÂdatÂed assessÂments.
